BabySorted is a product comparison site, not a lab. We don't run physical product tests — what we do is track real prices and stock across UK retailers and write buying guides based on that data, published specs, and official safety/testing bodies (such as Which? or Euro NCAP-style crash ratings, where relevant). This page explains how that process actually works.

How products get onto BabySorted

A product is only listed if it's genuinely for sale at one of our tracked UK retailers at the time our systems last checked. We don't list discontinued items, and products that go permanently out of stock are removed automatically rather than left to go stale.

How order and ranking work

In the catalogue, sort order follows what you choose — lowest price, biggest discount, or newest — never a paid position. Being an affiliate partner does not move a product up the list. When a product is sold by several retailers, we show the lowest current price and list every retailer stocking it.

How guides and recommendations are written

  • Guides start from a real buying decision (e.g. "which travel system for twins"), not a generic product dump.
  • Products mentioned by name are cross-checked against live stock and pricing before publishing.
  • Where we cite a safety or quality claim — crash ratings, down-fill certification, material standards — it's attributed to the body that actually tested it, not presented as BabySorted's own testing.
  • Articles are revisited and updated as prices, stock, or our own information change; the "Updated" date on each guide reflects the last real edit, not just a cosmetic refresh.

Affiliate relationships and recommendations

Some of the stores we link to are affiliate partners, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy through our link — at no extra cost to you. This relationship does not decide which products appear in a guide or how they're described. The full disclosure is in our Terms of Use; the mechanics of how price-checking and retailer-matching work are on our How It Works page.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error — a wrong spec, an outdated claim, a stale price that should have updated — tell us at elizaveta.o.mk@gmail.com and we'll fix it.
